Clothing
One well known piece of clothing worn by Bohemians is the lederhosen. The lederhosen was once worn as a garment for peasants and workers. It was then made of leather for riders and hunters, then eventually embellished with embroidery and decorated to show ones wealth and nobility. Sometimes the embroidery signified a certain region and gave people a regional pride to wear their lederhosen. The dress worn by women is known as a Dirndl, it was comprised of a blouse, a skirt, and an apron, meant for work around the house. Both the lederhosen and the dirndl are known as "Tracth" and they were the main clothing worn by German Bohemians both for function and looks. Seen in the picture below is a Bohemian family wearing traditional Tracths.
music
Music was a major part of culture in Bohemia and Germany, especially in Graslitz which is a city in Bohemia. Graslitz was the hearth of many orchestral instruments, such as the violin, cithers, and woodwinds. The Jazzophone was also introduced in Graslitz. Graslitz also had an 80% share of the worldwide market of the instruments made there during the early 20th century. A widely known instrument played in Bohemia is the accordion, here is a link to a video of someone playing classical accordion music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iusN9I_8h9I

Cuisine
There was much to eat in Bohemia, such as pork, beef, and poultry, pork being the most popular. Many types of sausage are produced in Bohemia and almost all meat is pot roasted. Some vegetables that are eaten are carrots, turnips, spinach, peas, beans, broccoli and many types of cabbage. In Bohemia noodles and potatoes are common side dishes. Mustard is the most commonly used condiment in Bohemia, due to the fact that it goes very well with sausage. Most Bohemian desserts are made with jams or fruits, also another dessert eaten there is cheese cake. The black forrest cake is a well known Bohemian dessert, often topped with cherries. In the picture below you can see women cooking a meal, in a kitchen, in the town of Graslitz.
For breakfast Bohemians would eat bread, toast, and bread rolls with cold cuts, cheese or jam, marmalade or honey, eggs, and usually strong coffee or tea. For lunch, which is considered the most important meal of the day, they would have breads, meat or sausages, cheese and some kind of vegetables. Dinner was considered the least important or smallest meal of the day consisted of the same things as lunch except in smaller portions. Seen in the picture below are Bohemian children collecting blackberries, most likely to be used to make a delicious dessert.
